Privacy Policy

KoboFX is operated by an individual (contact: irisslee95@proton.me). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights under Nigeria NDPR and EU GDPR.
What we collect
- Email address — only if you give it to us via the newsletter form (currently paused) or by emailing us directly.
- Analytics — standard Cloudflare/ hosting logs (IP, user-agent, pages viewed). No user accounts, no payment data. We do not take deposits.
- Cookies — theme preference (
kobofx-theme), cached FX rates (kobofx-rates), and search index. No tracking cookies for ads.
Why we collect it
- To send the weekly newsletter if you subscribe (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To keep the site working (theme, caching, security).
- To answer your emails.
Legal basis
Consent (you give us your email) and legitimate interest (keeping the site secure and functional).
Who we share with
- Formspree (if/when newsletter is re-enabled) — processes newsletter signups. See formspree.io privacy.
- Cloudflare — hosting/CDN on Cloudflare Pages. See cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
- Brokers — only if you click an affiliate link and go to their site. Their privacy policy then applies. We do not share your email with brokers.
We never sell your email.
How long we keep it
Emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Hosting logs are kept per Cloudflare retention (short period).
Your rights
You can request access, correction, or deletion of your email at any time: email irisslee95@proton.me with subject "Privacy request". We will respond within 30 days. NDPR/GDPR complaints can be made to your data protection authority.
Children
This site is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We will update this page and change the date above when we make changes.
