Broker Reviews: Why Most Reviews Mislead You
Risk warning: Reviews do not guarantee safety. This is education, not financial advice. Verify the licence yourself.
Broker reviews online often mislead. Many are paid or written by affiliates who earn when you deposit.
Signs of a useful review
- Mentions both good and bad points.
- Shares real withdrawal stories with dates and amounts in ₦ or $.
- Names licence numbers and how they were checked.
- Written months apart, not all in one week.
Signs of a fake review
- Only praise: "Best broker! Fast withdrawal! 100% trusted!"
- No details, only stars.
- Same wording copied across many sites.
- Pushes you to click an affiliate link with urgency ("bonus ends today").
How to check for yourself
- Search the broker's licence number on the regulator's site (FCA, CySEC). See Regulation: Why a License Protects Your Naira.
- Search the broker name + "withdrawal problem Nigeria" and read complaints from GTBank/Access traders.
- Test with a small amount (₦15,000 / ~$10) and try a small withdrawal. Learn the steps in How to Open a Forex Trading Account in Nigeria.
If most complaints are about blocked withdrawals, stop — even if reviews look good. Read Unregulated Broker Scams.

Rate used: ~₦1,500 / $1. Small amounts like ₦150 use same rate.
