KoboFX is operated by an individual (contact: irisslee95@gmail.com). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights under EU GDPR and applicable local data laws.
What we collect
- Contact details and message content — if you contact us through the contact form or by email.
- Email address — if you subscribe to the weekly newsletter.
- Analytics — standard Cloudflare hosting logs (IP, user-agent, pages viewed) plus Google Analytics 4 (pages viewed, device/browser type, approximate location, anonymized IP). No user accounts, no payment data. We do not take deposits.
- Cookies — theme preference (
kobofx-theme), cached FX rates (kobofx-rates), search index, and Google Analytics cookies (_ga,_ga_*) for usage measurement. No ad-targeting cookies.
Why we collect it
- To send the weekly newsletter if you subscribe (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To keep the site working (theme, caching, security).
- To answer your emails.
Legal basis
Consent (you give us your email) and legitimate interest (keeping the site secure and functional).
Who we share with
- Formspree — processes contact messages and newsletter signups. See Formspree's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — hosting/CDN on Cloudflare Pages. See cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
- Google Analytics — website measurement via Google Analytics 4. See Google's privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or your browser's Do Not Track / cookie blocking settings.
- Brokers — only if you click an affiliate link and go to their site. Their privacy policy then applies. We do not share your email with brokers.
We never sell your email.
How long we keep it
Emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Hosting logs are kept per Cloudflare retention (short period).
Your rights
You can request access, correction, or deletion of your email at any time: email irisslee95@gmail.com with subject "Privacy request". We will respond within 30 days. GDPR complaints can be made to your data protection authority.
Children
This site is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We will update this page and change the date above when we make changes.
