Scam Watch

Spot the trap before it finds you.

KoboFX is the opposite of the scam groups. This hub collects every scam pattern we document, the official reporting path, and a form to tell us about a new one. Free, no signup, no broker pitch.

Every pattern on this page shares one engine: they sell urgency and hope, then ask for money outside a verifiable channel. Learn the pattern once and you recognise all seven.

How to report officially

  1. Save every proof. Receipts, chat screenshots, account names, wallet addresses, and links. Time-stamp them.
  2. Report to your local police cybercrime unit with your saved proof. In Nigeria: the Nigeria Police Force — National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) at nccc.npf.gov.ng.
  3. Add the broker regulator for platform-level fraud. In Nigeria, victims also report via EFCC and CBN portals. See our Nigeria hub for local notes.
  4. Never pay a tie. Anyone who charges a fee to "help you recover" is the next scam. See the recovery scam.
